Looked after operation and maintenance of 5 numbers 137.5 MVA ABB make high current rectifier transformer system (1500 Volts, 5X87.5 KA), working with Micro SCADA system installed by ABB for rectifier control through PSR-2.

Experience of commissioning, maintenance and operation of 220 KV Switchyard, Generator and Station Transformers, 245 KV SF6 CB, 25 KV 150 MVAr Harmonic Filter and Capacitor Banks, 11KV VCB’s and 415V ACBs, 220V UPS and DC battery bank maintenance, HT Motor maintenance, energy balance report and safety aspects.

Managing electrical operation & maintenance activities of 220KV/33KV/6.6KV EHT Transmission and Distribution network of MRSDS (main receiving and step down substation) of 540MW (135 X 4) and 270MW (67.5 X 4) Power plant. Root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to prevent both occurrence and reoccurrence of any problem.

Overhauling (Oil change, Contacts cleaning, Operation check, Oil filter cleaning etc) of MR make OLTCs of all five Regulating Transformers.

Commissioning of 6 numbers 144 MVA ABB make high current rectifier transformer system (1560 Volts, 5X76 KA).

No load, Open Circuit and Short circuit tests performed in Rectifier system at full current and 360 KA.

Worked in ABB CILMS (composite islanding & load management system) of two power plants (540MW and 270MW) & 420 MW smelter load.

Worked in SEL USA, GILMS (grid islanding and load management system) between 1200 MW power plant and 600MW smelter load.

Handling electrical maintenance of 6 numbers 200NM3 IR make centrifugal compressor motors (Rated 1210 KW).

Enforcing Optimal planning of maintenance (preventive, corrective, breakdown etc), spares and inventory control within business plan and establishing right record keeping procedures with material management capability by SAP Proficient in analyzing and translating business requirements to technical requirements and design.

Work responsibility includes Power management with bulk 810 MW power (in BALCO Load Dispatch centre), taking active role in selling power through Open Access (both bilateral selling & through IEX) in ABT metering by maintaining relationship with CSEB officials, State Load Dispatch centre and Regional load dispatch centre by strictly adhering to grid code & Knowledge Power Trading through WRLDC.

Testing of SIEMENS and ABB make Microprocessor based relays (7SJ, 7UT, 7VHseries, REL 670 etc) for controlling of EHV equipments and SICAM substation automation system along with WINCC SCADA.

Trouble-shooting and testing of electrical machinery covering a wide range of equipments like Power transformers maintenance, EHV equipment testing and health checkups, EHV sub-station accessories maintenance, including maintenance and operation of control and metering panels.

Making & tracking indents and maintaining commercial relationship with different electrical global companies, supervision of O&M activities of department with Implementation of ISO management systems at plant level.

Review, checking & inspection of technical drawings, specifications of Electrical systems, Manufacturer’s drawings, Supplier drawings, Installation drawings, Control & wiring drawings, etc. for various types of electrical equipment & installations.

Implementation of various SOP/SMP/WIs for the important and critical jobs.

Experience in leading and managing teams. Worked in multiple roles –Technical Leader for workers, managing for different outsourced projects, and mentor for vocational trainees.
